OOTD:: Boho Chic

Free People/Boho Chic Inspired

I feel as if summertime, you can get away with almost any trend! I went to a drive-in movie the other night and decided since I was going to be outdoors, why not do a free people inspired, boho chic outfit?  A long native skirt would be perfect for sitting, paired with a cropped jean jacket and tank, accessorized with my favorite, an elephant necklace, and finished off with loose natural looking curls and easy slip off sandals!

Try out a  bohemian look yourself and see if you like it!
Yayyy! Almost friday!!

What's to Eat?? Parsley Dipping Oil

Parsley Dipping Oil/Spread

This dip is amazing for when guests come over, for appetizers, or just as a side with baguette! It is surprisingly super easy and you will feel so much better knowing you made it instead of buying it at a store! So make it and try it out for yourself!

You will need::
3-4 cloves garlic
1 bunch parsley
Olive Oil
Food processor

First start off with pulsing lightly the garlic.  Then add parsley in small amounts and pulse lightly as well.

This should be how your garlic and parsley look before the oil is added.

Once all the parsley is in and it is all pulsed, add 1/2 cup of Olive Oil and pulse until it comes out to a smooth even mixture like shown below.

Optional:: Add crushed chili flakes for a nice spice touch!
Now you may put it in the fridge and once you are ready to eat it, just add some fresh  parmesan, a few spoons olive oil, mix well, and serve! It tastes amazing with some baguette and as an appetizer! I enjoyed it with a nice light Greek salad and baguette! Enjoy!

What's to Eat?? Strawberry Cheesecake Bites!

Cheesecake Infused Strawberries!

Doesn't the title itself make your mouth just salvilate?!
What you will need::
A mixing bowl
1 pack of strawberries
8 oz soft cream cheese (if you have less, it's ok. this just determines how much filling you want)
3-4 tablespoons of powder sugar (the more the sugar, the sweeter the filling)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Graham cracker crumbs

First start by rinsing the strawberries.  Then you will cut the top part and hull out the middle using a knife or melon-baller as shown below.

After you completed the hollowing out of the strawberries, you can now start on your filling!  Combine the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla with a mixer or by hand.

Go ahead and crush your Graham crackers fully.  Now you are ready for the stuffing! Doesn't it smell great in your kitchen right about now?!

I just got a zip lock bag and filled the cream cheese in it, moved i all to one side, and cut a small hole in the edge; the perfect, cheap cone!  Start filling those strawberries to the top!

Just sprinkle on the crushed graham crackers on top and you are ready! You can eat right away, but I like to refrigerate so it all cools down and blends together.  Perfect summer bites!

Check back soon for a Bohemian inspired ootd!

Mani Monday:: Sunshine Fever

All Matte Everything!

I am a huge fan of matted things and finally bought my first ever matte top coat and am obsessing over it!  I love having things not many other people do yet and this matte trend is definitely helping!  I tried just a solid color, and can't wait to try other designs!  Since today's a boring Monday, I decided to play it up with a my favorite color and a beautiful shade of YELLOW! Happy Monday!
